INITIAL SKETCHES
This project began with many rounds of sketches (so many that I decided to leave out most of them). This part of the process took weeks to slowly refine from many ideas into the one that I would use for the final design.
PHOTOGRAPHY
For this poster, I chose to do a combination of both photography and digital typography. As you can see, I went to the local record store who were nice enough to donate 50 trashed vinyl records for use with my project. I then laid them out all over my dorm room floor and photographed them.
Originally the poster was going to have paper-cut typography however the end result did not really feel up to par so I ended up going digital.
